Rare Variety & High-end Quality! 1853 Arrows & Rays Seated Liberty Half Dollar. Very nicely preserved warm pearly grey and golden, sparkling lustrous surfaces. Extra sharp and minimally worn design elements.

Much closer to AU than to XF, and so, a high-end piece. A rare variety; just 11 have been certified by PCGS in all grades. Bold doubling on HALF DOLLAR, lighter on UNITED, and slight doubling elsewhere. Later die states, such as this, show some interesting die cracks spider-webbing around on the obverse. A very important find for the Seated collector.
